Monica's life takes a drastic turn when one night after school she is sexually abused by a man. Mónica enters a deep crisis that worsens when it is confirmed that she has become pregnant. After trying several desperate outings, Mónica listens to the advice of a friend and agrees to take a trip in search of the help of an indigenous shaman. They travel to the place where the Shaman is and he decides to take her on a visionary journey of healing through jungle plants. Medicine shows Monica the possibility of acceptance and forgiveness towards herself when she envisions the abuse to which her attacker was subjected when he was a child. After the experience lived during the shamanic journey, Monica must decide whether or not to give birth to the being that grows in her womb.
